How it works
Stacked discounts multiply, they do not add: 25% off then 10% off is 1 − 0.75 × 0.90 = 32.5% total, not 35%.
Frequently asked questions
Are two discounts the same as adding them?
No. The second discount applies to the already-reduced price, so the combined discount is always less than the sum.
Is tax charged before or after a discount?
In most US states sales tax is charged on the discounted price.
